Microneedling RF

The gold standard in skin tightening. Radiofrequency microneedling stimulates collagen and elastin for deeper, longer-lasting rejuvenation than surface treatments.

FDA Safety Communication (October 2025)

The FDA issued guidance stating that RF microneedling is a medical procedure, not a cosmetic treatment. Potential risks include burns, scarring, fat loss, and nerve damage when performed improperly.

Our commitment: We follow all FDA guidelines. This procedure is performed only by trained providers using conservative settings and thorough patient screening.

How RF Microneedling Works

This treatment combines two proven technologies for enhanced skin remodeling:

1

Microneedling

Tiny needles create controlled micro-injuries, triggering your body's healing response.

2

Radiofrequency Energy

RF energy delivers controlled heat to the dermis, enhancing collagen and elastin production beyond what needling alone achieves.

3

Tissue Remodeling

Over 1-3 months, your skin remodels from within. Results continue improving for up to 6 months.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it hurt?

We apply numbing cream for 30-45 minutes before treatment. Most patients describe the sensation as warm pressure with some mild discomfort. It's tolerable for most people.

How is this different from regular microneedling?

Regular microneedling only creates micro-injuries. RF microneedling adds radiofrequency energy that heats the deeper dermis, stimulating both collagen AND elastin for more significant tightening effects.

Why the FDA warning?

The FDA issued guidance because serious complications have been reported - often from improper technique, wrong settings, or untrained providers. When performed by trained professionals with appropriate settings, it's a safe procedure. We take this seriously and follow all guidelines.

Can I do this if I have fillers?

Recent filler injections are a contraindication because RF heat may have unpredictable effects on filler material. We'll discuss your filler history during consultation and determine if/when treatment is appropriate.

What about the fat loss risk?

Fat loss is a known risk, especially in delicate areas like around the eyes. We use conservative settings and extra caution in cosmetically sensitive areas. This is why provider experience and proper training matter greatly.
